DAWG.

WHOOZ THIS? WHOOZ THIS BOOOYYY?

Yesterday I filled out an on-line application to foster a dog for Paws Chicago. I barely had time to e-mail Tim and say "hey! I just filled out an application! This is exciting and maybe in a month or so we'll have a dog to come home to and go on runs with!" and then...

Ring...ring... hello, Adam. Adam from Paws Chicago? Hello. You have a dog for me? He's perfect for me? Only for a week because he's going to be in a photo shoot on Saturday (waaaaaaah?)? I can come and pick him up today? Uhhhh...

Regardless, Tim was very excited that we could have a dog for a bit and that the shelter would give us food (the main reason we don't have a dog right now is that we can't afford to house one). So I woke up this morning and borrowed Kaye's car, and picked up this little doggy guy. We've already been on a short run together, and he's slowly getting used to the cats.

Heh. Ha ha ha ha.

DOGS!

Update: Tim came in the back door and Pepper (the dog) just about ripped his face off. Apparently, the pooch is already very territorial and protective. Tim is somewhere between disappointed and heartbroken. He claims this is one of three dogs he has met in his lifetime that have not immediately fallen in love with him. I believe him.

Double update: Tim tempted Pepper with some chili flavored Fritos, and now everything is okay.

He's awfully cute - no wonder he's a doggie model.

Still, glad it's you and not me.

Hey Ruth
That doggie is too cute! You only have him for a week? Sadness will arrive shortly!
Give him a hug for us, and so glad you have found an addition to your family!

YOU ARE LIVING WITH A MODEL! A PUPPY MODEL!

oh god he's adorable. I'm sure Ms. Meems and Birdie are just jealous of his ADORABILITY and will calm down soon.

We haven't seen Birdie for 24 hours, and Mimi is moving from the buffet, to the window sill, to the kitchen counter...

high spaces. She's got a strategy.

Also, we bought our first bottle of carpet cleaning solution for "urine, feces, vomit, and everyday dirt."

ick.

Wow, yay dogs! That picture of Pepper staring at Mimi is so classic.
We have so much catching up to do! You should send me emails full of words and exclamation points!
