walk to work.

Every once in a while when I walk from clark and lake to michigan and wacker, i see someone flying down the sidewalk in roller blades.

First thing i do is check out the calves. Hey, i think, nice calves. Then, especially if they have elbow and knee pads, and are sporting sunglasses along with a helmet and seem to relish darting back and forth between suit n' sneaker pedestrians and homeless adults sleeping in till 9 a.m., I have an urge to run up and whisper in their ear:

"The future, Conan?"

Also, sub plot: At least once a week I see this woman wearing very distinct, feminine skirt suits and running sneakers with mid-calf white sweat socks. Every day I think, I need to post about her. Her and her eye-catching floral and tan piped nine-to-five costumes. So. Updates shall follow.

Best part of this post: Learning that there is a street in Chicago called "Wacker".
