Fuzzy Memories.

Before I realized pop songs are recyclable, I would get confused when I saw catchy songs disposed of on tv shows or in movies. This is one of the songs that I remember from Square One TV, a PBS math show from the early 80s. The end of the show was a spoof on Dragnet called Mathnet, and I've always thought that the red-haired guy was Ed Begley.

I was wrong. It's this guy. Also, James Earl Jones is the police chief?!

One of the first jokes in the show:

George Frankly: Martha loves that singer, Steven Stringbean. She has all his CDs.

Kate Monday: Martha has a compact disc player?

George Frankly: No.

Later in the same episode...

George Frankly: I'm barbecuing on Saturday night.

Kate Monday: What are you cooking?

George Frankly: Something Martha picked up.

Kate Monday: Sounds delicious. I'm not doing anything on Saturday, George.

George Frankly: I am. I'm barbecuing.

ALSO. There is a joke that the singer's next gig is in Mitchel, South Dakota at the Corn Palace. HA!

Mathnet is awesome.

Also, my word verification for this is "prowar". Hilarious or scary?
