in transit.

Wow. This week is/continues to be crazy. After an amazing weekend that inckluded a 10 miles runn a corn maze, picking and eating some crispy crunchy apples, driving to Lexington to see my inlaws (aaron's in laws officially, I'm just in love with the nydams), a long hike WITH A DOG, eating pie filled to the brim with the afore mentioned apples, and then three straight days of working and mastering the Boston transit system...

Wait. Also, I'm running a marathon. For realz. In four days. Kate, damn you for your encouragement. Aaron, damn you for providing me with non-cotton socks.

And congrats to the energetic people who lost their cat, Mike, an older and tinier version of our own Mimi. After seeing signs and photos for the missing cat for a a mile in every direction of our neighborhood, Tim noted over the phone today that the posters nwo said "Found hiding under neighbors porcha half block away."

Yay mike! You give me wings.

It warms my heart that Mike is now at home, and no longer scared. We were worried for him!

i know! and that the posters were up for so long...like...was there a child pining for mike, curled up in the widow sill? faced pressed to the glass with rain coming down? as the smiley face on the sun slowly turns into a frown?

YAY FOR MIKE!

When you're running this Sunday, run like you're chasing Mike down the street so you can return him to that sad kid sitting in the window in the rain. (Assume that Mike would not be terrified of you running after him, but instead is just running in front of you for fun. Not terror.)

Of course, that might be a little weird as you cross the finish and Tim comes up with water and congratulations, and you gasp out "Miiiiike!". So maybe don't do that.
