Goodbye, fall.

The people of Chicago have taken out their winter parkas, although they are mostly just walking around without zipping them up. Tim and I got to enjoy the company of two friends from Fargo this weekend - yayyyyyy.

We enjoyed home cooking two nights in a row, and explored some local bars. So funnnnn. Fun because we strategically placed Lance on the perimeter at every juncture, so all the crazies went straight for him and only trailed over to shake our hands as a side bar. We also learned that our cab driver was very familiar with Moorhead, MN. I believe he was Somalian. He told us he went to Rodchester every other weekend and it was like Las Vegas for him because he knew so many Somalians that met up there from Moorhead. Hrmph. Interesting.

Here are some fun pics of us this weekend, enjoying tacos, as well as a sampling of my evening's accomplishment: one lemon, lime, onion, and cilantro stuffed three pound chicken, chicken gravy, and banana bread. Sigh. I think that the early evenings are keeping me in the house a bit more.

The end of fall.

I do not know what you're doing to your chin in that last shot, but my first reaction was "bacon is for eating, not scarves!".

And your chicken looks amaaaaazing. I am drooling.

I, too, wonder what that photo is about.

But more than anything else, I am wondering what you are dressing up as for your Fabulous Halloween Party. Because I have a feeling you are attending one. Please post photos!
