Re-start Running.

drawGraph.php
Today I ran after taking 6 days off in a row! Scandalous. Especially because the flying pig marathon is in less than 6 weeks and the longest run i have done is 12 miles. Yikes. Sunday I will be doing 15. and then up to 18? we'll see. Anyway, the graph is an elevation map from my 5.5 miles---notice the up and down motion---Cincinnati is a city built on 8 hills=80 hills. Running outside is always tough but there are always people on the streets to give the "runners nod" to.

I also have a loaf of beer bread in the oven from Everybody Loves Sandwiches. I'm very excited to chow down; I just had the remainder of the beer that did not go into the bread.

Last test of the winter quarter! Today I took a test with an extra credit question that looked like this:
List and explain two superstitions in theatre.

Seriously. This is supposed to be a graduate level class. Just in case you are wondering, I chose saying MacBeth in a theatre (two many spooky things have happened during production of the play) and whistling in a theatre (sailors used to be the best tech guys to hire, and they would communicate with whistles just like they ahd on their boats. if you whistled at the wrong time, you could end up with something landing your head).

Interesting...but not really deserving of a graudate degree.

Sorry. Had to start over. Anyway, "the Scottish play" is one of my favorite Shakespeare's and I'm proud you know about the superstition!

The whistleing thing just sounds like good common sense! I like extra credit to just be fun - I use to ask Disney questions when I'd give spelling tests. That's 8th grade, folks!
